Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 28, 2026
We built CuraHome to help families manage care for their loved ones. We collect only what we need to make the app work, we don't sell your data, and we take extra care with children's information.
1. What We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account info: Name, email address, password (hashed — we never store it in plain text)
- Family profiles: Names and roles of household members, including children
- Household data: Tasks, care activities, medication schedules, grocery lists, and other content you create in the app
- Calendar data (optional): If you connect an iCal feed, we read event titles and times to surface relevant reminders. We do not store your full calendar — only the events you choose to import.
- Push notification tokens: To deliver reminders and updates to your device
- Payment info: If you subscribe to Premium on iOS, payment is processed by RevenueCat and Apple's App Store. On web, payment is processed by Stripe. We don't store your credit card number.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: How you use the app (features used, pages visited, actions taken)
- Device info: Device type, operating system, browser type, app version
- Log data: IP address, access times, error logs
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Location data
- Contacts from your phone
- Photos or camera access
- Microphone or audio data
2. How We Use Your Data

We will never use your data to:
- Sell it to third parties

3. Email Communications
- Service emails (account verification, password resets, billing): Sent as needed. Cannot be opted out.
- Product updates and tips: Occasional emails about new features. You can unsubscribe anytime.
- Marketing: Only if you explicitly opt in. Easy one-click unsubscribe.

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.
5. Data Storage & Security
- Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure (cloud-hosted PostgreSQL)
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
- We use Row Level Security (RLS) so households can only access their own data
- We conduct regular security reviews
No system is 100% secure. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you within 72 hours.
6. Cookies & Analytics
- Essential cookies: Keep you logged in and remember your preferences. Required for the app to work.
- Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and collects no personal data — only aggregate page views and events. No opt-in or cookie banner is required.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
- Children's profiles are created and managed by parents/guardians only. Children under 13 cannot create their own accounts.
- We collect only the child's first name and assigned tasks — nothing else.
- Children's data is never shared outside the household.
- Children's data is never used for marketing or analytics.
- Parents can view, edit, or delete their child's profile and all associated data at any time.
- We do not collect personal information directly from children under 13.
- If we learn we've collected data from a child without parental consent, we will delete it immediately.
